There are a number of reasons why you should use databases over Google Scholar:-
- Library databases are credible, accessible, and permanent. You can be sure where the information comes from.
- Google Scholar does not provide access to many materials accessible via the full range of databases provided by UNSW Canberra. Google Scholar only searches a small percentage of our databases.
- By simply using Google Scholar you are missing out on a huge pool of academic and scholarly resources. You will get better results if you search these databases separately.
- Databases are better structured, organised and more comprehensive at locating academic material.
