Q: Is there a way of searching across all the databases so I don’t have to go into each one separately to look for a journal article?

A:

No, all UNSW databases cannot be searched simultaneously. However, databases in the same subject/category, or a set of databases covering a range of subjects, can be searched simultaneously. To do so:

  • Select the "Find Databases" link on the Library's homepage or the SearchGateway page
  • Select the Category from the drop down options box
  • Select "Find databases"
  • Choose the databases you wish to search in (maximum of 20)
  • Select "Go to Search"
  • Enter your Search Terms and select "Search"
